The role of the Student Council is very important in our school as it provides support to students, teachers and the school administration. It gives students an avenue to convey positive ideas and concerns that may contribute to the overall school life at Burrowes State School.
Being a member of the Student Council carries with it a great responsibility on the part of our students and all members are expected to be committed to the following:
Attend all student council meetings
Undertake a duty once a week during play times to provide students in the junior and senior school with additional sports equipment
Assist the Prep classes by escorting students to and from the tuckshop during lunch breaks to enable these children understand how the tuckshop works
Help in fundraising activities in the school
